Tom Devine

Associate Director - Multi-Omics & Lab Automation
Hi, I’m Tom. I enjoy speaking with people so I made it my profession!

Having now worked in life science recruitment for over 5 years I have developed a niche interest in supporting start-ups and SME organisations within the life science space to grow and structure their commercial teams.

Outside of the day-to-day profession, I’m a football coach (soccer for my US connections) supporting amateur teams striving to reach the next level of the football pyramid

Whether I’m on or off the pitch, I enjoy coaching people to achieving their full potential. If you’re looking for a new opportunity or
need help finding talent for your organisation, let’s connect.

Luke Wood

Principal Partner - Analytical Instrumentation
Hi, I’m Luke, an executive search recruiter and an early-retired amateur footballer experiencing a love-hate relationship with Leeds United.

Aside from football, a keen passion of mine is Analytical Instrumentation. Techniques such as Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography have been a part of my everyday life since my studies in Chemistry at Newcastle University. I now utilise my hands on lab experience with multi-million dollar, game changing equipment to support start-ups to market leading companies with their hiring needs in this arena across the globe.

I’m an old schooler at heart, whether its an 80s classic track, fish & chips for tea or a good old conversation on the phone. Interested in Science of Footie? Give me a call or connect on LinkedIn

Lis Betteridge

Director - Operations & Fundraising
Hello, I’m Lis / Elisabeth. I run the operational side of the business here at NV and work alongside Goran, in getting our clients in front of the right people for their fundraising. With over a decade of experience as an operational professional and 3+ years experience navigating a startup in the Life Science, MedTech and Healthcare space. Anything finance, HR, brand, ops or investment related - that’s me!

Motherhood and being part of a start-up has granted me the title of professional plate spinner. I’m no stranger to the highs and lows of a small but ambitious company trying to navigate the business landscape which is why I’m passionate about helping others on their journey.

I’m someone who likes having multiple projects on the go, whether it’s raising funds for a Medtech start-up, a website rebrand, training for a marathon or a house renovation project.

If you’re a Life Science, Medtech or Healthcare start-up looking to raise funds to help achieve your business milestones, let’s chat!

Lewis Didelot

Associate Director - Multi-Site Healthcare
Before Executive Healthcare Recruitment I was an ambitious Electronic Engineering with high hopes of becoming an Entrepreneur in Digital Health. Rather than follow in the footsteps of my peers, I saw that Executive Recruitment could be my path, making meaningful connections with leaders, and learning from their hard-earned wisdom.

Fast forward almost a decade, my analytical, challenge-motivated brain has helped multi-site healthcare platforms with Operational and Business Development hires. Additionally, I’m proud to have connected Executives with PE capital that fuelled their expansion, changing the lives of many

If you’re United States-based and want to chat with an experienced recruitment or capital-raising advisor, please drop me a note. If you’re near some good mountain trails, cycling routes or swimmable lakes, let me know and I’ll fly out tomorrow!

Helen Covey

Associate Director - Diagnostics
This is my 5th year in Diagnostics executive search and what a rollercoaster this industry can be. Despite the ever-changing landscape I’ve
built a reputation as the go-to partner for multiple start ups and SMEs looking to expand into new regions or close off difficult positions.

My real strength lies in my market knowledge, key account development, candidate experience and process management. I’m not a transactional recruiter looking to add your company to my list of clients, I’m looking for long term relationships with companies that see the value in having a reliable partner to turn to whenever the need arises. In an industry with so much innovation I’ve been lucky enough to work with innovators in oncology, point of care, antibiotic resistance and much more, in addition to developing long lasting relationships with some of the most forward thinking and patient focused leaders in the space.

If you’re looking for a partner who will give you up to date insights, quality candidates in a matter of days and true consultation, let’s connect!

Goran Hankic

Founder & CEO
I was doing my degree in English literature when someone asked me if I had plans to become a teacher. My answer was no, it was to
make money. Why? I don’t know. Soon after, another person asked me the same question and my answer stayed the same. That
person asked if I had considered headhunting? Apparently there was a lot of money involved in it.

Over a decade later I’m still here in the same industry. The question, was it actually about the money?

After the glitter and glam wears off the most important thing is what impact you’ve made in whatever your endeavour. Every action
is based on the intention and you always get what was intended. With that in mind I’ve stopped turning away from my failures and
now whatever direction the majority go in is the opposite way I want to go.

Adam Bakali

Director - Proteomics & Immunoassays
Hey – I’m Adam! Average golfer but more importantly, your go-to recruiter for all your global talent needs in Proteomics & Immunoassays

With 10 years’ experience in the recruitment game, I found myself asking why do I do this? I’m no scientist but supporting companies who are making a real difference in human health gives me great satisfaction, knowing that my executive search services are a contributing factor, however minor, to these ground-breaking health innovations.

Secondly, my biggest loves are golf and travel – luckily for me, the internet is everywhere meaning, I can support you from anywhere. I believe transparency and trust are the foundations of long-lasting relationships. My approach is simple - be honest and open, if we can help each other, great! If not, I’d happily point you in the direction of someone who can.
